Capital Appropriation Request (CAR) - This process is a critical business function for JCI.
It is the process whereby JCI personnel handle requests for capital asset purchases. The
solution automates the automated the entire CAR process end-to-end. It converts the
manual CAR Form uploaded by the User to eForm and submits for approval.
Based on predefined flows, the form travels from one actor to the next, for approvals.
This enables consistent routing and tracking of the flow of requests. The actors such as
Initiator, Assignment Group, CAR Administrator, Approver and BU Finance, based on
their role in the sequence, evaluate the request so that the form can travel to its next
level for execution. The process is currently being used extensively across the
organization.
